The weather has grown colder, the leaves have changed, and winter is just around the corner.  We all know what that means:  Football season has returned to HHS, and what a season it has been.

This year’s Eagle seniors, in alphabetical order, were:  Addison Agler, #74; Bo Campbell, #5; Tyler Karabin, #9; Jeremy Korola, #44;  John Masimore, #77;  Zack Merrell, #26;  Scott Nord, #34;  Ashton Owens, #10;  A.J. Pantone, #68; Matt Papiernik, #76; Anthony Pesce, #57;  Jeremy Rosado, #25;  Nick Shelton, #14;  Jordan Smith, #7;  Ryan Smith, #2;  Ben Stoner, #71;  Mike Tobey, #13;  and Mark Verotsko, #40.

The Eagles’ Coaching Staff is made up of the following: Brian Hoffman, head coach (4th season, 34-12, 59-24 overall). Assistants: Ron Fox, Jon Mosera, Frank Mazzocca, Jason Diaz, Ken Bencetic, John Schiraldi, Tony Giancola, and Tim Schiraldi.

The season began well, and all the boys were eager to finish strongly. The Eagles had to replace three graduating letter-men in key skill positions; however, the veteran offensive line was strong.  “My hope was to make it to the playoffs,” stated Captain Bo Campbell.  Campbell believes, “the Eagles have gotten better at everything as a team.”  Campbell looked for improvements in blocking, tackling and all around execution of plays. Special congratulations to RB Larry Scott for being selected as “Player of the Week” three consecutive weeks in a row. Scott went over 1000 yards rushing for the season as a freshman.

With a record of seven wins and three losses, many fans came out to see the Eagles clinch the AAC White Title, and enjoyed every minute of  each game.  Thanks for another eventful season, Eagles!
